May Cleanup
We have made good progress on the repairs of the clubhouse. With a strong turnout this weekend we should be able to put things in order. Of particular importance is getting rid of the huge piles of debris the renovation has created. I have order an 8 yard bin for this purpose. It is also an opportunity to get rid of junk generally. So if you are not into painting or a bit of minor carpentry, there are many things to clean and move. Operations will be hindered until this work is done and the clubhouse and related areas are cleaned and put in good order. Your help is appreciated.

Re: April Cleanup
will be there. The 5 cabinets turned diagonally have been emptied, disinfected (one reloaded, lightly). Inside of credenza and one cabinet to do. The power wires in the corner of the first office are for the hand-held radio and logger chargers (not for the back office).

Here is a list of things we could get done. Lots to do.
- all garbage outside, inside the hangars into the dumpster.
- all garbage down at the workshop and related areas also into the dumpster.
- Get the tractor operational and grade all the roads.
- finish cleaning the kitchen.
- paint the front office and the fire place.
- put the floor down in the back office.
- finish up the trim.
- put the ceiling fan into the back office.
- put the office furniture pack to get an operation.
- clean the main room and put it in order.
- tidy the back storage area.
- tidy the classroom.
- clean the washrooms new and old.

Re: May Cleanup
I took all of the batteries home for full absorption charging with the latest whiz-bang equipment, and have tested the large ones for cranking amps. The large ones for tractors and carts ALL meet original specs under cranking loads, so they are good to go. I will put them in the small hangar.
The glider batteries are another story. 50% are "mostly dead," probably due to lack of consistent under-charging and excessive discharge. I have prepared a spreadsheet and graphs of their charge/discharge cycles and a comparison to original specs and York requirements. This will be submitted to Rob and Stan for the OK to replace as recommended. That will happen as the universe unfolds.
In other words, the big batteries are good to go, the glider batteries need more attention - standby...

Re: May Cleanup
There are reports that there is a box of donated glider-size batteries somewhere, but we could not find it. We need to find out if they can be put into the battery rotation. Any ideas where they could be, or have they been removed?
We checked:
- South end of large hangar
- North end of small hangar
- The office and the room behind it
- The piles of office contents
- The washrooms
- The training room
- The storage rooms at the north end of the large hangar, south of the training room
- The workshop
Any other ideas or should we presume that someone "disappeared them" as my grandson says.

Re: May Cleanup
I brought them last year and last I saw they were in a rectangular cardboard box in the shelf in the south west corner of the main hangar. About 20 batteries in the box.
They were donated from a past member that removes them from medical equipment as part of regular certification. They were in perfect condition when removed.

Our squad commander, with his favourite sidearm, stands basking in today's progress. You don't want to even imagine the clubhouse without Stan, - truly the man
