Winter Adventure

Post by Paul Moggach » Fri Feb 22, 2019 10:22 am

As if there was not enough to do in the off-season. I have started a new project, the restoration of a Cessna 170B. Here is evidence you can fit an airplane in a truck, and actually fit the fuselage in my garage. Many thanks to Rob who made the trek with me to Fredericton, New Brunswick to retrieve the bird.

Here's how! Notice that the tires are a bit deflated. The wings are already in the back yard.

Awesome! What sort of timescale do you expect for the restoration?

Hope to get it back in the air in 2020. More work after that. Looking at a STOL kit and a bigger engine.
