YSA Restricted Operations Guide

Post by Biggles » Sat May 23, 2020 9:03 am

The Board have agreed the attached document:
YSA Restricted Operations Guide.pdf
(242.23 KiB) Downloaded 10 times
which describes how the Board would like our Operations to be conducted during the current restrictions.

With regard to which club aircraft individual members would like to fly (solo), please indicate in this thread your preferences. Due to the high cost of insuring 2-seat gliders for flight, The Board will commence operations by insuring only single seaters this coming weekend, e.g a 1-34 and LS4. A second 1-34 and/or PW5 are possibilities at the same time or shortly after, depending upon interest shown by members (all relatively cheap to insure).

Thanks for your understanding.

I like the PW-5, mostly because it makes me feel like an astronaut when I'm strapping in.

Looking forward to flying again. If I fly a club ship it would be the LS-4 or 1-34. Thanks for all the planning for this season!

For info, based on the above interest, the board have now agreed insuring all of the following gliders for Saturday 30th:
LS4, PW5, both 1-34

Please note Guide has been updated.
Main points of change:

1. Campground open;
2. One washroom near workshop fully functional, the other 3 soon;
3. No longer mandatory to wear mask or gloves when flying;
4. Initial club fleet amended.
